he lightweight and stylish Flamingo Bluetooth headset, which provides discreet Scandinavian design, promises maximum comfort and audio clarity so that it can be worn continuously throughout the day.

The Flamingo headset weighs only 11g and uniquely features patent-pending EarClick technology composed of two small, non-allergenic pads that promise to fit ergonomically into the folds of your ear to hold the earpiece in place, without additional support. This has enabled a discrete, stylish design without the ugly over-the-ear frame we’re all used to seeing.

The Scandinavian-designed Flamingo is apparently quick and easy to put on and remove and allows eyeglasses to be worn without interference. It can be securely and comfortably worn with earrings or over hearing aids. Flamingo’s battery provides up to 8 hours’ of talktime and 180 hours of standby time.

The headset also has an open channel design so you are able to hear surrounding sounds such as traffic and face-to-face conversation. The Flamingo can be used for wireless communication with mobile phones and with computers for IP telephony services such as Skype.

The Flamingo headset has already been launched in Scandinavia, US, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, and has only now made its way to the UK. Leading retailers have also responded enthusiastically to the Flamingo, according to the company, and it’s already available from Selfridges, Amazon and Expansys.

The headset (£57.99 ex. VAT) is available in black and silver and is sold with a desktop charger and AC adapter, six different sizes of EarClick pads, neck strap, user manual and warranty card.
