Mobile’s sister-title Mobile Choice gave the consumer’s verdict on the industry’s top devices and services last week, at the magazine’s 5th awards ceremony.
The results celebrated the best the industry had to offer over the past year with products like the Motorola RAZR and new arrivals such as the Samsung D600 and Nokia N90 collecting plaudits and the coveted Mobile Choice Awards Thumbs Up.
Sony Ericsson scooped no fewer than three prizes. The manufacturer’s head of marketing, Ben Padley (pictured in the centre collecting the Manufacturer of the Year), said: ‘It was a fantastic night. To come away with manufacturer of the year really made the night for us.’
The industry’s big names were out in force and new BenQ/Siemens MD Philip Rambech made his first public appearance ahead of taking up the role officially.
The host, top comic Bill Bailey, made sure it was a night to remember.
