Cardo Systems, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of wireless Bluetooth devices for the consumer market, today announced the availability of its new Bluetooth adaptor, the BTA II. The Cardo BTA II converts standard cellular phones into full-fledged Bluetooth handsets, providing users with a refined, crystal-clear hands-free communication experience.
Weighing less than half an ounce, the Cardo BTA II plugs directly into the audio jack of traditional cellular and most cordless land-line phones, providing them with wireless capabilities previously available only with Bluetooth-enabled handsets. The Cardo BTA II allows users to initiate, receive, and conduct calls at distances of up to 30 feet using Cardo’s scala-500 Bluetooth headset or headsets from other manufacturers.
“Bluetooth communication brings a number of benefits to both consumers and businesses, but many individuals have not upgraded to the latest Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones,” said Abraham Glezerman, CEO and Chairman of Cardo Systems, Inc. “The BTA II was built with these people in mind, and offers exceptional Bluetooth functionality. And, as the world’s smallest universal Bluetooth adaptor, the BTA II ensures that users will receive the benefits of hands-free communication without the added bulk associated with traditional Bluetooth adaptors.”
In addition to standard mobile phones, the BTA II can also upgrade traditional 2.5 mm land-line cordless telephones that operate at the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz frequency. In conjunction with the Cardo scala-500 Bluetooth headset, users can enjoy complete wireless flexibility. The Cardo BTA II offers up to 9 hours of talk-time, a full week of standby time, and is powered by a Lithium-Polymer battery that can be fully recharged in just two hours.
